USA African Mission

Who we are

A partnership rooted in Ekklesia

USA African Mission is friends from the United States walking with Ekklesia Church of God Mission Churches in Kenya. We come alongside local pastors. We do not replace them.

Sauti Nyikani is the headquarters

Ekklesia Church of God Mission Churches is the Kenyan umbrella. Headquarters is Sauti Nyikani Church in New Jericho City (former SIJI village), Mombasa, under Rev. Eric Wangila Simiyu.

Opened 18 August 2026

Headquarters opened 18 August 2026 by missionaries EM Michael Mitas and Pastor Joshua Purdy, hosting Rev. Eric W. Simiyu (resident pastor) and Pastor Richard Otieno (mission coordinator).

The mission verse is Matthew 28:18–20: make disciples of all nations. The shape of the work is Ephesians 4:11–14 — apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, equipping the saints and building up the body of Christ.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of Christ, His death and resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith.
  • We believe the Church is sent to preach the Gospel to every living creature.
  • We believe in baptism by immersion.

Kenya leadership

Local Kenyan leadership comes first. Visiting teams from the United States serve under that care.

Kenya, with a wider hope

The work we can point to today is in Kenya. In time we hope the same fellowship may serve Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, and Somalia as the Lord opens the way.

Walking together

The US partner church is Russellville Christian Church. Visiting teams serve under local leadership, then leave the work in the hands of the church on the ground.
